The theme of PDF 2022 is 'Beyond'. The film visualises the idea of particles going beyond and transcending their own limitations. It depicts the state of matter where particles free themselves from their solid state to become liquid and then surpass their liquid state to turn into vapour. This is to evoke the feeling of breaking boundaries and going above and beyond. As they push through the overwhelming binding force and reach their next stage, their energy and their movement becomes more free-flowing and energised.
